Narmada park lombok is one of the largest and oldest historical parks in lombok, indonesia. Sade Village or also known among the locals as Desa Sasak Sade (Sasak Sade Village), is the home to Sasak community in Lombok. This traditional village which is surrounded by rice fields is famously known for weaving and handicrafts. There are over 700 people currently residing in this traditional village. It is not a museum nor only for the tourists, Sade Village is in fact an actual village that showcases the traditions, culture and lifestyle of the unique Lombok tribe. To explore Sasak Sade Traditional Village, it is best to walk around by foot and bring along your cameras to capture candid moments of the actual handicraft making process.
Sade Village contains 150 houses built in the traditional Sasak architecture, along with wooden pillars, woven-bamboo walls, and grass roofs crafted from the Alang-alang grass. Interestingly, the floor of the traditional Sasak house is made from clay and periodically polished with cow dung. This tradition is done to ward off the mosquitoes. But amazingly, there is no smell of cow dung on the dry floor.
The friendly and sweet Sasak community in the village works together to keep the cultural flame alive and always welcome any tourists to learn their lifestyle, mainly about arts and their unique tradition that are still being practiced. Being only a small community, the Sasak tribe tend to marry their cousins. And they will do so by ‘kidnapping’ the chosen bride! There are rules and traditions that must be upheld throughout the kidnapping process. And if it is successful, discussions between all the families will proceed, leading to the marriage ceremony. The bride’s family of the Sasak people believes this tradition as a sign of respect for their daughter.

Located in the humble village of Senaru, Sendang Gile And Tiu Kelep Waterfall is a double tiered waterfall complex that is hidden deep in the forest. To get there, visitors are required to go through a jungle trail by hiking. The rocky cliffs which you will see as you take the route to reach the waterfall are literally covered with beautiful flora and fauna like ferns. With about 45 meters high, there are little falls that make up the Tiu Kelep Waterfall. The water flows into a large base pool which you are allowed to swim in if accompanied by a guide. Apparently, during the rainy season, the heavy fall of the water can create a whirlpool that runs quite deep. Getting to the pool is also a bit challenging, as you have to brave the cold waters and walk on a lot of slippery rocks
